Pole-zero computation in microwave circuits using multipoint Pade approximation - Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, IEEE Transactions on

چکیده
AbstructA new method is proposed for dominant polezero (or pole-residue) analysis of large linear microwave circuits containing both lumped and distributed elements. The method is based on a multipoint Pad6 approximation. It finds a reducedorder rational s-domain transfer function using a data set obtained by solving the circuit at only a few frequency points. We propose two techniques in order to obtain the coefficients of the transfer function from the data set. The proposed method provides a more efficient computation of both transient and frequency domain responses than conventional simulators and more accurate results than the techniques based on single-point PadC approximation such as asymptotic waveform evaluation.

Analysis of Planar Microstrip Circuits Using Three-Dimensional Transmission Line Matrix Method
The frequency-dependent characteristics of microstrip planar circuits have been previously analyzed using several full-wave approaches. All those methods directly give characteristic of the circuits frequency by frequency. Computation time becomes important if these planar circuits have to be studied over a very large bandwidth. The transmission line matrix (TLM) method presented in this paper ...
متن کاملNew necessary stability conditions for 2-D systems - Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, IEEE Transactions on
In this paper, some interesting necessary conditions for the stability of two-dimensional (2-D) systems are presented. The inversion of these conditions gives sufficient conditions for the instability of the same systems. The proof of these conditions is given. A comparison with some other known criteria is given.
متن کاملCoexistence of Four Different Attractors in a Fundamental Power System Model - Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, IEEE Transactions on
This paper reports the occurrence of a rare phenomenon in dynamical systems when four different attractors namely a stable equilibrium, a stable limit cycle and two strange attractors coexist in a fundamental power system model. The paper shows that power system operation could get trapped into sustained chaotic oscillations after a large disturbance even when there exists a viable stable equil...
متن کاملStructure Generation and Design of Multiple Loop Feedback OTA-Grounded Capacitor Filters - Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, IEEE Transactions on
This paper addresses the structure generation, analysis and synthesis of multiple loop feedback OTA-C filters. A systematic approach is proposed for all-pole filters, and the generation and design of minimum component structures are extensively exemplified. Two general methods for transmission zero realization are also suggested and two architectures with simple design formulas are illustrated....
متن کاملMultiscale system theory - Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, IEEE Transactions on
In many applications it is of interest to analyze and recognize phenomena occurring at different scales. The recently introduced wavelet transforms provide a time-and-scale decomposition of signals that offers the possibility of such an analysis. Until recently, however, there has been no corresponding statistical framework to support the development of optimal, multiscale statistical signal pr...
